The Faiza Alaraji Foundation
The Faiza Alaraji foundation is a registered non-profit, We provide services to the community.
It all started when a group of first-generation immigrants to Canada who
had experienced the struggles of starting a new life in Canada decided to come
together to make it easier on newcomer families to settle and better integrate
into Canadian society, all started in 2018
The Faiza Alaraji Foundation was created in 2022, to formalize these volunteer
activities into a reliable and sustainable social service provider. The services were
initially focused to serve those in the National Capital region with the intention to
grow nationally.
MISSION
Our mission is to support and empower newcomer families in Canada by providing them with the resources and tools they need to achieve stability and security in their new home.
VISION
Newcomer families in Canada, have the resources, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive and contribute to Canadian society
MANDATE
- Provide information and resources: provide newcomers with information and resources to help them make informed decisions and access available resources.
- Empower newcomers:Â empower newcomers to become active participants in Canadian society by providing opportunities for leadership and skills development.
- Advocate for newcomer rights: advocate for the rights of newcomers, including access to public services, protection from discrimination, and equal treatment under the law.
- Support integration:Â work to support the integration of newcomers into Canadian society, including providing language training, cultural orientation, and opportunities for social and community engagement.
- Build partnerships: build partnerships with other organizations, government agencies, and community groups to provide comprehensive support for newcomers and their families.
